Ki Bhal Gadgets is a small, independent gadget review site run from India for people shopping on Amazon.in. We started it because searching for something as ordinary as a rechargeable torch or a water-bottle pump turns into an hour of sponsored listings, copy-paste "top 10" pages, and reviews that never say whether the thing actually works. We wanted the opposite: a short page per gadget, a clear verdict, and a price you can sanity-check in seconds.

Everything here is written by hand by people who use the products. There is no AI-spun filler, no affiliate feed dumped onto a page, and no ranking that quietly follows whoever pays the most commission. If a gadget is mediocre, it doesn't get a page at all — which is exactly why the list is short and grows slowly.

Our mission

Help everyday buyers in India spend a few hundred rupees well. Most of our picks sit in the Rs 150–Rs 1,000 range — the small, useful, quality-of-life gadgets people buy on impulse and regret most often. That price bracket is where bad information does the most damage, because nobody researches a Rs 349 pump for two hours, and nobody bothers returning it when it fails. We do the boring part so you don't have to.

How we research a pick

1. 1. Start with a real problem. A power cut with no working torch. Lifting a 20-litre bottle onto a dispenser. A lighter that dies in the wind. We pick the job first, the product second.
2. 2. Shortlist and compare specs. We line up the credible options on Amazon.in and compare the numbers that actually matter — battery capacity and real runtime, motor or output rating, materials, charging standard, and what's in the box.
3. 3. Read the negative reviews first.One-star and two-star reviews from verified buyers tell you far more than the five-star ones. We look for the same fault repeating across months — that's a design problem, not a bad unit.
4. 4. Check the seller and the warranty. A good product from a seller with no return record is still a bad buy. We check who ships it, whether the warranty is honoured in India, and how the replacement process works.
5. 5. Buy it and use it. We spend our own money and live with the gadget for a couple of weeks minimum, in normal daily use, before writing anything. Where we haven't had that time, we say so on the page.
6. 6. Publish or drop it. If it earns a spot, we write the page with a verdict, a rating, and a one-line "Why it slaps". If it doesn't, we simply don't publish it.

What we won't list

• · Gadgets we haven't used or researched properly ourselves.
• · Products from sellers with a pattern of fake reviews or refused returns.
• · Anything unsafe — dubious chargers, uncertified batteries, sketchy electricals.
• · Products whose "deal" price only looks good because the list price is inflated.
• · Paid placements. Coverage is never for sale, at any price.

Our editorial rules

Ratings are ours alone, not a copy of Amazon's average, and they reflect value for money as much as build quality. Prices on our pages are verified at the time of publishing and corrected when readers flag them, but the live Amazon price is always the one that counts. Criticism stays in the write-up even when it costs us clicks. If we get something wrong, we fix the page rather than quietly delete it.
