Frequently asked questions
Everything about how we pick, rate, and get paid
Short, straight answers about how Ki Bhal Gadgets works — from testing and ratings to affiliate links, rupee pricing, and what to do when something we recommended lets you down.
- How do you choose the gadgets you feature?
- Every pick starts with a real problem worth solving — a torch you can trust in a power cut, a pump that saves you lifting a 20-litre bottle. We shortlist options on Amazon.in, compare specs and materials, read through recent buyer reviews for repeat complaints, and check whether the seller and warranty look credible. Only the option we would actually buy ourselves makes it onto the site.
- Do you buy and test the products yourselves?
- Most of the gadgets we list are bought with our own money and used for at least a couple of weeks before we write about them. When we haven't spent long enough with something, we say so in the write-up and lean on verified buyer feedback and creator footage instead. We never describe hands-on experience we didn't have.
- How do you earn money — do I pay more?
- Right now the site does not earn commissions. The Amazon buttons are standard links provided to help you find the products we review quickly. You pay exactly what Amazon.in charges — nothing extra, and we do not receive anything from your purchase.
- Why are prices shown in rupees, and why do they change?
- We write for buyers shopping on Amazon.in, so every price is the Indian rupee price we saw when the pick was published. Amazon prices move constantly with deals, sellers, and stock levels, so the live number on Amazon is always the one that counts. If you spot a price on our page that is badly out of date, email us and we will correct it.
- What do the star ratings and "Why it slaps" lines mean?
- The star rating is our own overall verdict on the gadget — value for money, build quality, and how well it does the one job you bought it for. It is not a copy of Amazon's average rating. "Why it slaps" is the single most useful thing about the product in a few words, so you can decide in a glance whether to read further.
- Do you sell or ship the products?
- No. Ki Bhal Gadgets is a review and recommendation site — we don't hold stock, take payments, or ship anything. Every purchase happens on Amazon.in, which handles checkout, delivery, returns, and warranty claims. For anything about an order you placed, contact Amazon or the seller directly.
- How do I report a wrong price, dead link, or bad product?
- Email kibhalgadgets@gmail.com with the product name and what you saw, or message us on Instagram at @kibhalgadgets. Broken links and stale prices usually get fixed the same week. If several readers report a genuine quality problem with something we recommended, we update the write-up or pull the pick entirely.
- How often do you add new gadget picks?
- We aim for a new pick roughly every week or two, depending on how long testing takes. We would rather publish four gadgets we stand behind than forty we skimmed. Following us on Instagram is the quickest way to know when a new drop goes live.
